The Big Appeal
We are hoping to raise at least £70,000 through public donations and grants to cover the cost of restoring the disused platform buildings, with the aim of converting it into a tea room and heritage railway museum.
​Local trade experts have identified that we require the following, plus more:
- A new slate roof for the waiting room;
- A new flat roof for the store room;
- Restoration to render, addition of plastering;
- New ceilings and roof beams;
- Repointing and replacement of brickwork;
- Restoration or total replacement of the waiting room canopy.
